“Children of Papua New Guinea, these are some of the animals which live in our country.
Some, like Kumul, occur only here and nowhere else in the world; others, like Jabiru, occur in other countries too, in this case from India east to Papua New Guinea and Northern Australia.
All are interesting: the Archer Fish shoots down insects with drops of water; the father Hornbill builds a wall of mud to keep the mother on her eggs in a hollow tree; the Niugini Eagle suddenly puffs its face feathers to give animals a fright.
These animals live in our land now, look after them.”
