“This collection of writing represents and reflects the personal viewpoints of one group of Aboriginal students, patents, Aboriginal Education Workers and teachers.
It provides an insight into the way a diverse group of individuals from twelve year olds to grandparents, responded to the question “What would you like to tell teachers about working with Aboriginal students?” I have edited the writing lightly so that the ‘voices’ of the writers can be heard.  My aim is to give these ‘voices’ a far broader audience than they presently have.  The individual perspectives are meant to stimulate and challenge ideas held by the reader and highlight the ways in which Aboriginal students have been excluded from the secondary school system.”
