“Coral Island is a very charming place, even to three young shipwrecked lads.  Hardened by their life at sea, they adapt themselves gaily to this new existence.  There is food in plenty for the seeking, and they enjoy the endless fascination of the sea-pools, woods and mountains.  A stirring adventure takes place with warring bands of natives who come ashore on the island, and scarcely have the boys settled down after the departure of these savages when they see a sail, only to find it is a pirate schooner.  Ralph is captured and taken aboard, but later he seizes an opportunity to sail the boat alone back to Coral Island to take off his friends.  Further trails and adventures among the islanders await them before the story comes to a happy conclusion.”
