On an October morning in 1792, a convict ship, the East India-man Georgette, anchored in Sydney Cove.  Its human cargo had no eyes for the beauties of this wonderful natural harbor, for it was a hoard of despairing men and women, over whom the words "Botany Bay" had cast a grim shadow for months.  But among them was Sara Dane, a beautiful young girl who had been savagely sentenced to transportation on a trumped-up charge.
