“To many people, Henry Lawson’s humorous tales – stories like The Loaded Dog, Bill, the Ventriloquial Rooster and A Vision of Sandy Blight – are his most appealing and most memorable, the foundation upon which his reputation is a great story-teller rests.  Cecil Mann, editor of Henry Lawson’s Best Stories, has chosen the funniest Lawson tales from many collections, including While the Billy Boils: Parts One and Two, Joe Wilson’s Mates, and On the Track, and brough them together in one volume, to produce the definitive collection of Lawson at his humorous best.”
