"When Patrolman Larry Harker was summoned in the early hours of the morning to the Hotel Colebrook to arrest a thief, he had glowing visions of a fine case which would mean official congratulations and possibly promotion, but the last thing he foresaw was that he would hopelessly lose his heart as he slipped on the "bracelets," and furthermore get involved in a very queer case and a very long chase. Hulbert Footner's readers expect a first-rate mystery story, very excellent humour, and just enough but not to much feminine intrusion."
