Harry Griffiths, who was affectionately known to the Inlanders of Australia as Griff, spent over twenty years as patrol padre and later as Director of the Methodist Inland Mission.  As a patrol padre his parish extended from Pine Creek in the Northern Territory, little over a hundred miles south of Darwin, down to Oodnadatta in South Australia, roughly fourteen hundred miles, and the West Australia and Queensland borders over eight hundred miles.”
