“The decision to attempt a short history of Strathalbyn High School was taken in July 1976.  We felt that the time was ripe to preserve on  paper something of the change and development which had occurred during the first 64 years of the life of the school while it was still possible to glean the necessary information form first-hand sources.  We were encouraged by the enthusiastic support of the High School Council, and it was decided to try to time the publication of the book to coincide with the celebrations marking the 50^th anniversary of the Official Opening of the High School buildings on the Callington Road site.”
