'Shortly before he was shipped to Korea, the brilliant young surgeon Captain Paul Scott met two people who were quite literally to shape his future: Father Tim O'Fallon, chaplain of Scott's new battalion, and Kay Storey, ex-nurse and now U.S.O. singer.  The three meet again on the front and were captured; in prison camp Scott got himself into a predicament that looked very much like collaboration with the enemy.
We first meet Scott as he faces his past and his accusers in the grim atmosphere of a court-martial.  Through a deft series of flash-backs, we relive the tension and horror of the days in Korea ...'
