“W.A.M. felt that it was essential to publish the documentation of the Women’s Show. Too often in the past the documentation of women’s art and art events has been neglected. This lack of women’s art history, especially in Australia has had a hampering, inhibiting and generally demoralising effect.
By including poetry, short stories, and conference papers as well as description, criticism, photographs of events and of visual material from the exhibition, we hope to reveal the variety of the Women’s Show.”
