“Rod Marsh is probably the greatest wicketkeeper Australia has ever had. He was born in Perth in 1947. When he played his first Test, against England at Brisbane, in 1970, at the age of twenty-three, he was the youngest man ever to keep wickets for Australia. By the end of the 1974-75 Australian summer, he had played in a total of thirty-one Tests and had established himself as a wicketkeeper-batsman of the highest standing.”
